I will listen to just about anything other than jazz. but i like all the rocks, blues, country, and anything that will lift me spirits.

12 step 12 traditions. it is the place where i found hope on jan 9th. page 45 first paragraph was me. and i found i didnt have to live like this anymore.

all funny movies some thrillers, and yup.

going to meetings. and drinking coffee, traveling around the country and the world, SOBER now. meeting new people.

I am Wayne, will be 27 in May,
I spent the better half of the last 27 yrs ruinning my life and others. i joined the Marine Corps when I was 23, i lost my great job because i couldn't stay sober. I volenteered to go to Iraq in 06 hopeing i wouldn't come back so people would think of me as more than just a addict. i was injured while i was over there, and was emergency medivaced to Germany where I drank and popped more pills than most people could have seen and i did it for two yrs until Jan 5th when i took my life and by the grace of God my sister just happened to have a 6th sense and knew something was wrong and the military police, my sister and my brother kicked in my door and found me out on my floor, Doctor said 5 mins later i wouldnt be here. I couldn't beat my addictions, the pain from Iraq, and the h*ll? i went through with my X wife. but now i have 60 days and can honestly say i mean it when i smile, and my life has turnned around, now i am just waiting for my retirement from the Marine Corps.
But i do want to thank anyone who reads this and who has sent me a message of encouragement because without you guys and girls, i would still be alone. THANK YOU ALL. and I am always here for anyone who needs someone to talk too. name is wayne and just dont take a drink or pick up. its that easy, because thats the only real choice we have.

I like sober people. and anyone who suports me on my jouney.

everyone else

Wayne -

Not a nice place to be. I played in the sandbox in 90, 91 and 93. Don't miss it. Sixty days is nothing to sneer at, my friend. I don't think you'll find many others here that think otherwise...
