For those of you who are on the fence when it comes to sober activities besides your normal meetings, I encourage you all to attend those barbecues, go to those dances, listen at those speaker meetings, enjoy those Blues Fests.
I attended my very first Men's Spiritual Retreat this past weekend and connot begin to explain the feelings I experienced while I was there, and even now as I write about it. So many liars, cons, manipulators, seekers of easier softer ways, all of us coming together to speak truth, love, and acceptence. My emotions were in a continaul state of shock and awe, a real rollercoaster as other men who want to truly live, tell us what they were like, what happened, and how things are today. I just cannot explain it, so I will stop now.
Please get involved in your area, your fellowship needs you, and you probably need your fellowship.
lotsoflove

Wow! I can't believe how much this site has grown since I first became a member. I guess the word is out! I mean, there were like 30 people or something I think when I first made my profile. (maybe a few more, I could be mistaken) This thing has really taken off! I've been feeling kind of guilty because I haven't had the time to nurse the fledgling friendships I've made here do to work and my own personal recovery program, but I am always delighted when i log on and have a message or a comment from another addict. People here know how to reach out, which proves that the internet is not as bad as it is sometimes portrayed. I love you all. Stay strong, and work it, cause you are all DEFINITELY worth it!
