Hello everyone!  I was searching for 12 step worksheets when I happened across this site, which seems like such a great idea.  As someone who also uses other social networking sites (myspace, facebook, etc.) its nice to finally find somewhere that I can express how much I appreciate everything my recovery program has done and still does for me.  I thought about posting blogs on my other sites explaining my recovery, thoughts and feelings, but I feel that many of these sites are too public and I would rather do it more confidentially through here.

Upon signing up for this page I thought I would share my feelings about some of the questions which I answered while completing my profile.

1. Religion--  although I have gained much spirituality thorugh the program and continue to work on it, I was unsure of which religion to to select from the list.  I will also admit that I still do not fullly understand the difference between atheist and agnostic.  I chose agnostice because I was once told that agnostics believe in god, but do not believe in organized religion, which would more or less define my take on the issue.

2. Music-- music is and has always been a big part of my life.  When I was thinking about listing my musical intrests, I somehow felt compelled to leave out mentioning things like reggae and jam bands due to the fact that my participation in both of these "music scenes" (shows/fesivals) has largely revolved around using alcohol, marijuana and psycedellics as well as experimentation with just about anything offered to me.  I decided to keep these musical tastes even in my sobriety, but I do keep in mind that they may bring relapse thoughts if I allow them too.

3.  Dislikes-- although I have always been (and even moreso now) a pretty accpeting person, I do feel that there will always be things in my life I cannot change, and need the serenity to accept.  I listed things like racists, religious fanatics and sexists in here because no matter how hard I often try to give them the benefit of the doubt, I continue to feel that everyone should be treated as equals, reguardless of things which they cannot change (ie: race, sex)  It just buggs me that we live in the 21st century and this BS still goes on on a daily basis all over the world.
