i realize how much i take our military for granted.  it's a shame on my part.  thanks for sharing john. 

all people of service are amazing and deserve recognition.  God Bless our country.  may God stay in our country.

     For many Memorial Day is a holiday. Just that, a three day weekend. Those many who didn't come back and those of us that did made this and all other holidays possible for them.
     All that can still remember what this country is really supposed to be about and what it has cost us I thank and join in gratitude for the many comrades in arms still out there in harms way...

We all fight for freedom in one way or another. I am fighting for my freedom from addiction. Some have lost their lives in their addiction because they didn't have the fight in them.

Let's remember those that lost their life because no one helped fight for them.

War, Independence, and Loss of life, are tough things to come to terms with-I was thinking about memorial Day this morning- and all the graves and graveyards of soldiers...  I have visited quite a number of the major, historical ones-and many small somewhat obscure ones. Then there are those overseas- So many people who have given their lives for  freedom...

And that is aside from what we have to deal with in recovery, surrounding 'Holidays'... Blessings, Nia

i do too john. my only hope is that i honor there memory by staying sober and trying to help the next person that comes along. thats my hope anyways. my prayers are with you and the families and freinds of those lost to this desiese.
