Here I sit with my thoughts and have looked thru a bunch of folks sites here and comforting to see people with recovery helping one another. I feel ashamed if people knew the
"real" me but then I read some of the stuff here and I am not alone nor am I unique. which is great. I know things in the past are exactly that and I turn them over to God and try to do his will for me.

I empathize with how you feel, and I've allowed that fear to rule my behavior as well as my life... So no worries. You're in good company. I know I am! :)

    We are not alone...

That is the one thing that holds many of us together. We often have different symptoms (addictions) but we are all striving towards the same goal. Being able to live life on life's terms and enjoy doing it. I too have done many things I am not proud of and harmed numerous others in the course of my drunken actions.

That being said - since then I have educated myself regarding my problems and been given tools with which to correct them. By the Grace of God, these things may never occur again. And if telling my story helps just one other along the path to sobriety and a better life, all the better.

"He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone~". John 8:7

Take care,

Dennis
