Step 2 - I come to believe that a power greater than

myself can restore me to sanity

Your blue on black setting makes it hard, even with glasses, to read your share! If I miss something, it's the eyes!

I have found the religions of my past an anchor that pulled me down! Religion is made by people, and made with a need to be right and others wrong. My HP is everywhere, even in the churches of my past. I know that today!

The awakening in 2 for me hinged around "restore us to sanity". If I was to be restored to sanity, I must accept first that I was other than sane, and secondly, there MIGHT be some hope. Getting this took some time. Look for the simplicity in the program, do and realise the things you see in black and white on thepage!!

For me, I was brought up in a non-religious environment.  When I finally hit the very bottom a strange series of events happened to me, the one that relates most to this question is that I was walking my dog one day and the most strong thought came into my head, there was nothing else around no other thoughts I could have but this one, 'if you are truly sorry, you can be forgiven'.

This prompted me to go to my local methodist church and I have now become a born again christian.

I could not have continued 12 steps without God, thats for sure and tomorrow I have been sober for 100 days, for the first time in 18 years!

Life has dramatically changed for me in every way.
