It's been a few days now, that my friend has been gone. I miss her, but ironically, like so many other times, and other ppl, I'd missed her for a while, already. :o} The Lord has worked a miracle in me: I no longer hate her mother for the cruelties she inflicted on my friend and her children. I know that she is a very sick person, and that she wasn't completely able to control herself. I really am convinced that if she ever talks about it, she will have to admit that the change was brought on by her cessation of her medication. She must have begun taking it again, b/c I see the human being in her, again. I guess the simplified version is "Love the sinner, hate the sin." Thanks, God for helping me with that one. Resentments are like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die. I can begin living more fully, again. After all, bitterness is SO not attractive a quality! God Rocks. abbie

Thank you for sharing a bit of your life with us. The boys and I are better ppl for having known you. I know everyone you have known feels the same. God help us to learn the lesson, carry the burden of sorrow, and to someday be able to think of her and smile, again. ANd, now she will not have to use a cane, anymore.

What's the difference between an alcoholic and a chihuahua? If you give the chihuahua something to drink, it doesn't think it's a Pit Bull.
