Hello all, I've been here, I've been there, and I've been in between. But I'm still sober!! Sorry I haven't been online too much. My internet access is limited and I am still trying to get my school work done in-between putting all my things in storage.
I'll be back before too long. I miss all you guys! Sober today, Keith
I'm back in Washington now, for almost a week. The house is a mess, my internet connection has been severed, and still I'm managing to hang on. My three year sober date is coming up and I'll be driving a 1000 miles back to where I got sober this last time to get my 3yr chip. This is a wonderful accomplishment for me since I have a combined 8 years sober without ever having this many consecutive days in a row. Anyway, in case anyone was wondering why, after ALWAYS being online, I'm not now, it's cause I'm back home taking a vacation! I'll be back online more often, at the beach again, in two weeks. Hope you all are having a great day. I miss being here. Sober today, Keith R.

Well, here it is New Years again. It was this time exactly that I signed up on MyRecoverySpace. What a long strange trip it's been. What started out really slow, has turned into a daily thing and has brought me a lot of support, many great friends, and a lot of smiles and laughter. I want to thank everyone who has sent me comments or messages or even just took the time to look at my page. May you all have a wonderful year ahead, filled with peace, love, and roses....oh, and lets not forget, may we all stay... Sober today, Keith

My name is Keith and I'm an alcoholic. My first blog. My third two year chip. My first two years I learned about myself. Then I went out and proved to myself all the things I learned. Like how I'm not a normal drinker/user and made my life totally unmanageable.... again. My second two years I became book-smart, with no real action or application. This last two years I've learned that to make this work you need to work it. Not just going to meetings, not just hanging with clean and sober people, but working the steps, in order with a sponser, in daily life. Things are better. Major problems aren't unmanageable. And minor problems just take care of themselves, most of the time. I've made some life-long friends that are worth their weight in gold. They've done what I've done, been where I've been, and felt what I've felt. It's through them that I'm learning to do life on life's terms. And with the help of my higher power life is worth living.
