I finally did it!! After over 28 months of being clean & sober I finally completed my 4th step and did my 5th yesterday with my sponsor, I felt sorry for her because it took me 5 hours to do it. But thank goodness it's over and it was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I am lucky to have such an awesome sponsor that I feel so comfortable with. So for all of you who are dragging your feet on your 4th step.....just do it!
Last night 5/23/08 at 10:30 Hawaii Time my friend Judy G. lost her battle with Pancreatic cancer. She would have had 32 years clean on July 4th, 2008. She died clean and I can still hear her in my head saying in her gravely voice "I am an Addict my name is Judy and I love being clean today!" I will never forget how the vets at Point of Recovery, a meeting I ran for awhile, loved hearing her story and message so much we had to have her continue her story 2 weeks in a row.
Goodbye Judy I love you, you can be at peace and fly with the angels now.
