I am a married mom of two kids who just recently realized that I am an addict. I've been taking pain pills for a couple years now and it dawned on me that I am terrified to stop. Not because of the withdrawls (I've done that several times) but because I'm afraid of living life without that barrier between me and reality. Looking back I now know that I have been turning to one thing or another my whole adult life. I quit using on Dec. 4 08. and I am ready to figure out how to live life without anything standing between me and reality!!!
