My favorite song it is so where I am in my journey right now. I love the part that say's

Deep water faith in the shallow end and we are caught in the middle
With eyes wide open to the differences, the God we want and the God who is
But will we trade our dreams for His or are we caught in the middle
Are we caught in the middle

full song

Somewhere between the hot and the cold
Somewhere between the new and the old
Somewhere between who I am and who I used to be
Somewhere in the middle, You'll find me

Somewhere between the wrong and the right
Somewhere between the darkness and the light
Somewhere between who I was and who You're making me
Somewhere in the middle, You'll find me

Just how close can I get, Lord, to my surrender without losing all control

Fearless warriors in a picket fence, reckless abandon wrapped in common sense
Deep water faith in the shallow end and we are caught in the middle
With eyes wide open to the differences, the God we want and the God who is
But will we trade our dreams for His or are we caught in the middle
Are we caught in the middle

Somewhere between my heart and my hands
Somewhere between my faith and my plans
Somewhere between the safety of the boat and the crashing waves

Somewhere between a whisper and a roar
Somewhere between the altar and the door
Somewhere between contented peace and always wanting more
Somewhere in the middle You'll find me

Just how close can I get, Lord, to my surrender without losing all control

Lord, I feel You in this place and I know You're by my side
Loving me even on these nights when I'm caught in the middle

Forrest Gump

I love movies that make me think

I love Madeah my favorite line in Diary of mad black women is......Sometimes we hold onto the very thing God is trying to remove.....

Quilting,

This poem was given to me by a very special
man named Jody. I learned alot from him.
Shortly after coming back to the program Jody
Died from this disease. I will always miss him.

After a while you learn
the subtle difference between
holding a hand and chaining a soul
and you learn
that love doesn't mean leaning
and company doesn't always mean security.
And you begin to learn
that kisses aren't contracts
and presents aren't promises
and you begin to accept your defeats
with your head up and your eyes ahead
with the grace of woman,
not the grief of a child
and you learn
to build all your roads on today
because tomorrow's ground is
too uncertain for plans
and futures have a way of falling down
in mid-flight.
After a while you learn
that even sunshine burns
if you get too much
so you plant your own garden
and decorate your own soul
instead of waiting for someone
to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure
you really are strong
you really do have worth
and you learn
and you learn
with every goodbye, you learn...

Rest In Peace Jody I will Miss you

Restoration of Self, Overspenders, just for today, Nar-Anon, Courage to Change

My name is Kimberly I am a grateful recovering addict alcoholic.I have been in recovery since 3/9/97 I had at one point obtained 5 years sober and relapsed shortly after. I stayed out there again 5 years and re entered only by the grace of God 1/22/07 my sobriety date is 02/07/07 and for that I am very grateful. I am blessed to have 3 children Justin 20 Holly 18 and Keegan 4 and a beautiful grandaughter Paiton who will be 1 year 1/31. I met my husband Bobby 10 years ago in recovery and he is so good to me. I Prayed for years for God to send me someone who would truly love and he did. I am a survivor of abuse childhood and battered wife. Wow very blessed is all I can say about that. My oldest son is a suffering addict and that I struggle deeply with he is such a beautiful person and does not deserve the h*ll? he has endured. I stumbled across this site and am looking to connect with others who are serious about recovery. My god My recovery and My family are the most important things in my life. I found my true God this time in my journey and am a christian I struggle though with trusting him with my everythings but it's progress not perfection right? I am also adopted That's about all I can think of now. I look forward to meeting new people and participating in getting to know other's on this journey.

Anything that will help me learn about myself and bring me closer to God and my family.

I love my sponser she is truly made for me...

I would like to have dinner with God.

When my children hurt. What I dislike even more is the source of there pain. Im a Bear when it comes to my cubs

When I can't feel God.

The pink cloud fall.

My Daddy being terminally ill he is my hero
