For me, music is like a photo album. It takes me to places, in my life, and reminds me of where I've been. Sometimes, I don't need to go there. Lately, I have been listening to lots of Reliant K, Stellar Kart, Manafest, Tobymac, U2, and KJ-52. I still have a special place in my heart for the classics like Willie Nelson, Ray Charles, Johnny Cash and Lyle Lovett. The Beatles are the greatest band in the history of the world and when noone is around, I listen to Brittany Spears (shhhh!!)

I watch lots of movies. I think Netflix probably hates me. They send me lots of stuff each month. It is hard to say what my favorite movies are, but I usually like anything with Kevin Spacey, Ed Norton, or Brad Pitt. I have had a crush on Drew Barrymore for as long as I can remember, and I think that Keanu Reeves should be banned from Hollywood.

It is hard to get my head out of textbooks long enough to read anything for fun. I read the Bible everyday, and I love it. Other authors I have read lately are John Ortberg, Donald Miller, Elizabeth Wurtzel, and Mitch Albom. I love the Harry Potter series and I'm currently reading Pride and Prejudice.

Work. Study. Sleep. Repeat.
I don't have much free time, right now, but I do like to take pictures. Landscapes mostly, but my favorites are the pictures that noone knows I'm taking. I do not have the patience to fish, but I will sit and wait on the perfect picture. For me, it's good therapy.

It is hard to describe myself when I have only recently began to know myself. One of the biggest things I have learned is that I am no pioneer in any of this recovery stuff. I'm not breaking any new ground or going through anything new. I love being sober and I love what God is doing in my life. My life is not easy, but it certainly is easier.
