This is Patti Clawson Berry. She is a wonderful Gospel music singer. I first heard her sing in The Baker’s Wife in the mid 1980’s. We had a friend in common. I had dinner once-Tex Mex style -at her apartment and am a name dropper when it comes to that. She became someone that I cherished in our brief friendship and I have recently found her on Facebook. I love you, Patti

As a Medic in the Vietnam era,I nearly killed myself on alcohol. In my search for wealth and man's approval, I lost God, and all spirituality. I spent nearly $300,000 in 3 years in an attempt to get people to like me. I hung out in motels, and bars. I was shot, stabbed and beaten several times before I realized that my problems were really a sign that God loved me. "...For whom the Lord loves, He disciplines..." ( Hebrews 12:5). After many hospitalizations, de-tox facilities and half-way houses I went to a Christain Men's Recovery Center. It was there that God pulled me up. Today, I am driven by a consuming love for Christ and a desire to help others. "In my distress, I called upon the Lord, ...and He heard me..." Psalms 18:6. Terry

Dear Friends in Recovery, I am so glad to be back on our site. I have
been with my dear sister who passed away on June 16th. She had a long
struggle with cancer. But thanks to a wonderful program I was able to
be with her the whole way. Thank God for A.A. and our new mind.
Terry
