Ask For It
God, Universal Energy, Super consciousness, Divine Will,
or whatever you wish to call IT, manifests in wonderful
and often miraculous ways. The trick is to be fearless in
your quest for attainment and trust that your every true
need is being sustained in ways that are most beneficial to
your own path of enlightenment. Let the Power flow through
you and your needs will be met. Sometimes it's as simple as
just asking.

Strength Vs. Courage

It takes strength to be firm. It takes courage to be gentle.

It takes strength to stand guard. It takes courage to let down your guard.

It takes strength to conquer It takes courage to surrender.

It takes strength to be certain. It takes courage to have doubt.

It takes strength to fit in. It takes courage to stand out
.
It takes strength to feel a friend's pain. It takes courage to feel your own pain.

It takes strength to hide feelings. It takes courage to show them.

It takes strength to endure abuse. It takes courage to stop it.

It takes strength to stand alone. It takes courage to lean on another.

It takes strength to love. It takes courage to be loved.

It takes strength to survive. It takes courage to live.

Take time to Think. It is the source of Power.
Take time to Play. It is the secret of perpetual Youth.
Take time to be Friendly. It is the road to Happiness.
Take time to Work. It is the price of Success.
Take time to Pray. It is the greatest Power on Earth.
Take time to Love and be Loved. It is the way of God.

Shelter

All I’ve known is chaos calamity and pain

Strange to think I can change my life to one that’s whole and sane

Find a new direction instead of heading straight to h*ll?

Don’t know if this is heaven-bound but that’s sure how it felt

Oh God , give me shelter let me crawl in from the storm

Ease my battered broken heart keep me safe and warm

Oh God , let me rest here inside your loving grasp

assure me that I’m not alone until these feelings pass

And thank you God for giving me some friends to call my own

others who can guide my steps along this path I’m on.

Ones who’ve gone and marked the way so I won’t trip and fall;

Voices on the telephone that love me when I call.

Thank you God

God is on your side. God has a stake in you.
God is not someone to reach for but a Presence to accept.
Instead of dwelling on how difficult things are for you,
turn often to the center of your being and relax in the assurance
that you are God's living enterprise and that your good fortune is secure
because it is God's good pleasure to give it to you.

After Sobriety People tend to think of you the way you were,
long after you've changed. Sooner or later, however, the
sober mind shows through and people begin to observe and
gravitate towards it. Sobriety attracts. When your are truly
sober, you will attract others who find that being around you
is safe and, at the same time, invigorating.

Thanks for the comment!

St. Thomas was during Christmas.  We do a lot of Disney races in Orlando.

Can't believe the wedding and honeymoon cruise is already over!

12 Ways To Destroy The Fellowship

12. Don't attend meetings or belong to a home group.
11. Never say anything in meetings, wait until you are outside.
10. Sit in the back and have side conversations with your friends.
9. Find fault in all officers, committees and other volunteers.
8. Vote to do everything and then go home and do nothing.
7. Get all you can, but never give back anything in return.
6. Never serve as an officer or on a committee.
5. Let the basket pass you by, without contributing.
4. Talk about co-operation, but never act cooperatively.
3. When asked to help, always reply that you haven't the time or
say you have time and not show up.
2. Never do any more than you have to.
1. Always complain about the mess others are making of our fellowship
and their service efforts and tell everyone how much better you could do it.

I drove to a meeting today. I didn’t become angry
Or yell in traffic. Now there’s a miracle
I shook hands with 20 people at that meeting.
I looked them in the eye. Now there’s a miracle.
I listened to there troubles and ideas. I didn’t try
to have all the answers. Now there’s a miracle.
I stayed afterwards to help rearrange the chairs.
A member invited me around the corner for coffee.
Now there’s a miracle.
I accepted. That’s a miracle too.
Expect miracles and you will be amazed.
