Remember: desperation, driven, to put as much distance between me and the chaos of drinking and early sobriety as possible. It meant divorce in the end...getting a sponsor, doing steps, getting active...finding an anchor in 'power greater than self ', a physical home base- rehabbing a cabin....then later on, sponsoring others...what a gift!
