snow is falling
Posted On 10/04/2008 05:46:57 by Dorje
Here I am in my hotel room at the Swiss Convention, snow is falling outside, it is unusually cold for this time of year. We had our press conference yesterday, and as expected, there were less people than we hoped for. NA here in Switzerland is not doing so well, many of the oldtimers don't show up anymore and meeting growth has been stagnant for years. I am clean for more than 20 years and one of the first members of NA in Switzerland. Four of us met in AA and started the first NA meeting... Read More

H.O.W.?
Posted On 10/03/2008 07:20:10 by KeithB
H.O.W.? Man, I enjoy Thursdays. Sometimes the simple gems I hear or am reminded of resonate so strongly in me. The acronym “HOW” falls into this category. The world is filled with insanity, and most of the time insanity as a part of life (my definition-repeated behavior expecting a different outcome), not insanity as being overtly out there. Make It A Good Day?   When I got up Wednesday morning, I had a choice to make. I choose to make it a good day. There is enough craziness going on in this world, the talk of economic collapse, and gosh help us, elections on both sides of the border. Here in Canada, as far as leadership goes, I don’t find any real good choice. In working with politicians for years to advocate causes, I learned one thing quickly. The only real certainty starting from the time they are confirmed as ele... Read More

I am taking a class that is changing my life......

So, i am a psychology student and i have 287 days clean today! woo hoo! and i am in an interesting place right now. i have not totally had the fog lifted yet. i am just starting to relize that it doesn't matter if i am having a bad day that i still have to go to school and go threw the motions of fullfilling my commitments. and when i do, i get such a large reward of awakening. because i can accomplish what i put my mind to as long as i do the footwork! that is the main key. when i was ou...
