Enjoying the "free" gift, the grace, the power freely given in our powerlessness, especially when we don't earn or deserve it, and are, most often, going our own way---the wrong way. Running our own way, even when God may be calling us; taking that slow boat to Tarshish after hearing God's voice...Going in the opposite direction.

ok.... now i know there is a poem in me somewhere... just trying to come out... about butterflies...

but here i am to say that THANK GOD He is not finished with me yet.  Thank God, that He loves and charishes me inspite of my frequent lapses.  Praise Jesus that i have been given SOOO MUCH, including the ability to Grieve... for how could i really experience joy, if i never knew grief???

The first two paragraphs of today and tomorrows''s Twenty Four Hours A Day (Mary 28 & 29) are excellent in sharing how our disease makes us uniquely useful and gives meaning to our lives and to the lives of others through us.   In A.A. we learn that since we are alcoholics we can be uniquely useful people.
