So I got some not so good news the other day. Apparently the location where my wedding is supposed to be is giving me issues with insurance coverage. rather the insurance company is giving me problems. If this does not get resolved my whole wedding is screwed because I will NOT have a location. The wedding is next September. This prospect FREAKS me out. BUT I have been suprisingly calm about it. You would think that they could find a way to make certain things more obvious. I've spent more than a day this past week being a obnoxious pissy little misanthrope. Recovery is oft times slow, hard, "baby-steps" kind of growth that to me seems like a step forward and three back---at least this week...Not to mention the intensity that those of us in recovery can bring into our program, with deep convictions and wanting to see strong results....it's enough to wear us thin, certainly "crispy around the edges." Yesterday was the anniversary of Bill W's death, January 24,1971. What a difference one life can make. Each of us are modern descendants and bearers of the torch of freedom from alcoholism, addiction and other things. We each are but a ripple in the pond of AA that he envisioned.
