Bringing it forward- influences early in sobriety-


When I was struggling in rehab, my counsellor introduced me to some wonderful books and suggestions, for daily consideration.

After prayer, meditation and journal in the morning, he suggested I map out a 'plan for my day' ( "plan plans, not results")

At our discussion meeting this week, an old timer spoke up and reminded all of us: Who are you feeding- The good wolf or the bad ?

This was in reference to subject of "Attitude"- Sometimes the temptation

to allow 'anger' to stay a while because of the feeling of power it allows us- is great. 'Riding the crest of a wave'

Tomorrow I celebrate my 34th birthday as well as 18 months sober..  This is my 3rd time around these rooms in 15 years..  I would always go out at a little over a year..  I can't point out exactly whats different this time, because its many things.. 

My drug of choice is ANYTHING to change the way I feel or think..
