I am a single mother of six beautiful daughters. April 17, Cynthia 16, Elizabeth 15, Meoldie 14, Brenda Lee 12, Smokie Jo 11. (update 5-13-08) girls are now 19, 18, 16, 15, 13,12.I have been in recovery going over 5yrs.(update 5-13-08) I'm working on 7, come on August! It is the second greatest thing in my life! I am now a nontraditional student attending UNK. My major is Criminal Justice. When I finish growing up I want to be a Parole Officer. I really enjoy service work. I am involved at group, Area and Region levels. I struggle at times and forget to get out of my head, but then like magic I remember what I am to do. I call my sponsor, read my basic text and PRAY. I try to learn from life lessons but I sometimes forget I'm not in charge and forget the lessons I'm learning. I take recovery one day at a time. somedays it is easy some days I get in the way. My recovery ends up winning in the end and thats what counts. My Higher Power lets me fall once in awhile so I don't forget I need him to get back up again. And I'm totally OKAY with that.

I like people who can admit they have a problem and go to the rooms of NA to seek their solutions. Who take the solutions they are given and run with them. Footwork is the key to a strong foundation.
