clean time

Hi ! just to let everyone know it is my year anniversary coming up! SO i just wanted to say that thanks  to methadone that is why i stayed clean. IT helped me in many ways. So if anyone else wants to say anything about methadone it would be nice to hear something?  I also started detoxing, I am doing well so far, I am coming off of 115 milligrams and i am down to 80 so far. I have not had any problems. SO i will keep you informed.

That's wonderful!!! Keep up the good work, I personally was never on the clinic but I did use methadone to detox off of oxy's and herion in a rehab.  I accepted the invite to get some input on it and maybe share a little hope to anyone that's on it. I think that if it's keeping you clean that's great as long as you don't abuse anything else while you are on the clinic it can be very benificial to anyone. But my whole thing is, the physical pain might be gone right now so now is the time to deal with the mental pain. So when you are ready to detox you have all the tools you need so you won't slip up while detoxing. For me the only thing that was going to keep me clean was God and the 12 steps of AA. I always looked at methadone as a crutch for people, but I've met some people on it and they showed me that it does work on the physical properties of the illness but you must get connect with some form of support group whether it's AA, NA, CA, MA anything to help you deal with the internal problems, Some people can just stop and have no group to go to, that's not the case for an addict like me, I must always be on my P's and Q's with this discease an I found the solution in AA.  AA doesn't guarentee us perfect sobriety but if we follow whats in the book we have a great chance at staying sober. Practicing a few principles and helping the still sick and suffering alcoholics we have a chance to recover.
