I haven't been around for a good while for my life has been turned upside down... I have four children and my oldest child Melissa was in a bad marriage. I had been trying to help her and my grandson to rebuild their lives after she left her husband and things were turning around for them both...

Sadly, on November 20th her estranged husband took her life and it has been almost impossible for me to handle... Some days are betterthan others but for the most part I'm just going through the motions. I now have partial custody of my grandson who is  1 3/4's years old... It has been bitter sweet... I realize he is his own person but most times I look or think of him I grieve for his mother... It's going to take time and has been a difficult journey thus far...

I've been blessed to be able to stay clean and sober through it all and just celebrated 4 years on the 2nd of January!

Please keep my Grandson Brett in your thoughts and prayers and I could use a few myself!

So sorry for your loss, you will never get over losing a child, I lost a son to SIDS and he would be 18 now. It is something I will ever get over and I carry him in my heart where ever I go.  I pray you stay clean and sober. Patti
