Hi Nononoah here. I'm in the midst of a struggle here. I am settling into a six month sober, mess up for a day or two and then six months again. I've been doing this for about a year and a half. I had two years of sobriety before from 2002, 2003, 2004 before I didn't resolve some anger with my wife and choose to act out. Any one relate?

Are you working the Steps with a sponsor? If so, has that sponsor worked the Steps and had a spiritual awakening as a result? I have found that this is the key to success in the program for me.

I've been sober 17 months and 8 of that I went to AA. I hated hearing the same relapse stories for I feared it so badly. So I read and prayed. Giving it all to God was all I could do. Pray, read, pray. I consumed myself in work, and daily life. I believe having enough Faith and Will to overcome such a destructive disease is the best way. There's no other choice. Talking, listening and reaching out is helpful. I was bad, so if I can do it, anyone can. I'll be praying each day for you. Just Let Go and Let God. :) Tina
