Hi Everyone, I'm new here today and just thought I'd pop in and ask for a few opinions. I recently separated from my SO - he is also a sex-addict/porn-addict. He smokes every single day (a pipe, not a tobacco-mixed joint, which was my occasional preference) - out of control - before work, during work, and after work - don't get me wrong, I used to enjoy the odd smoke, but I quit totally since we separated - everything is in the dumpster, and I have no desire to start again after 2 months. I'm just trying to get to grips with the addiction pattern - how does chronic use of MJ affect a person's life ie. self-esteem, motivation etc - my ex was quite successful in his career, finally, after many years of failure. He was a workaholic also, with huge self-esteem problems, dating back to childhood, ex-spouse etc....... not that I want to get into this, I'm just trying to heal from it right now. Guess I was an enabler in a co-dependent relationship.....trying to rebuild, but carry so much guilt and shame. Anyone??

Hi,

I've found the Narcotics Anonymous Basic Text to be the greatest source of information on addiction. NA deals with the disease of addiction in all it's manifestations-not in the use of particular substances. Oh, and the meetings are good too!

Hugs,

Hi, I'm new to this website too but I have been clean for almost six months now and its all thanks to a great support system and my mom and NA meetings and NA books.  They really helped me and I'm sure they can help you too.

Hello...I'm a recovering pothead! I thought I would send you this link, and maybe it will help answer those questions you have about marijuana!
