"When one door closes another door will open".
So what do you do while your waiting in the corridor?!?!?
A past sponsor said to me that I had "better pull up a cushion and enjoy the scenery"!
That conversation took place over 10 years ago when I started my journey into Discovery & Recovery.
When the debris of my life is laying scattered before me and I am distracted by the fears of my future, I will stay stuck in my situation or "waiting time".
It's like sitting in a warm, comfortable bucket of manure!!!
And where is my patience with myself and others then?
To make my waiting time a purposeful one, God and I rediscover the tools of Peace and Serenity.
These tools are:
FORGIVENESS... How can I move on when I am bound to the grief and anger of past hurts, regrets and resentments of myself and others.
EXPECTATION... I CAN expect to have Gods help with me in this corridor. I am not alone.
COMMITTMENT... Because of my Willingness to become a better person, I committ to one day at a time.
I don't do this perfectly! But I don't do it alone!
God IS beside me reaching me and teaching me HIS purpose.
And as I say my thank you.....the door opens.
What do you do in this corridor, this waiting time?
