Hi,just wanted to let everyone know who i am,my name is christie,and i started my recovery today,i'm scared because i need help,i have no doctor,no health inc.,so i cannot get to the doctor for help i'm going to try to do it on my on,anyone know of want i could take for withdrawal from pain pills over the counter that is?please email or mail me any free help my ADDRESS IS 157 WHETSTONE DR. The best remedy is something you probbaly dont want to hear.

Exercise, go for a walk, uhmm a lot of walks

Eat well, concentrate on lots of water, fruits and vegetables, thats your quickest detoxing without other  "ahem" drugs.

And when ya get the jitters, and you want to fly out the door, off a roof or out the window, say a little prayer along the lines of I have the strength I need to do what I want to do and thats to beat this horrible disease.

You are not a bad person, maybe bad choices, but certainly not a bad person.

I too have sent a prayer for you.

I like the above poster's response.  Also...go to as many meetings as you can.  2, 3, 4 meetings a day if you can.  They always helped me take the edge off enough to at least get through the day.  And that's what it's all about...one day at a time.
