I like acoustic singer-songwriter kind of stuff, stuff from the late '60s, 1970s, alternative late '80s stuff. Folky stuff too. I scan through radio stations often.
Books
Recently read book for the film "Sideways," and while I felt sympathy/empathy for the main character, I was also pretty annoyed by the end. Hm, maybe that's how others see my compulsive overeating. Ouch.
Anything by Pema Chodron. I like Hope for the Flowers by Trina Paulus. The Power of Intention by Wayne Dyer. Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting by Lynn Grabhorn. Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life, by Wayne Dyer (do the Tao now)
Movies
Recently got "Crash" from the library. Wow, I thought that movie really said some true stuff about how we can be both heroes and jerks in our lives. It's not all one or the other, and there's hope for us all.
Hobbies
Hanging with friends playing goofy board games, catching some live music at a coffeehouse, playing online Tetris, wanting to exercise more often, crayon or draw, collage, just anything to get into more creativity.
I sure do need to update this page! Watch for different videos. And music. I've been on Facebook lately, and this feels more fun today.
So, check back, I'll make some changes so my page reflects the real me as of ......now....
I learned a Chinese Proverb awhile back that said, "If we don't change where we're headed, we'll get where we're going." I want to be headed in a positive direction.
I am here to learn more and be in a positive, safe place to learn more about 12-step stuff and generally integrating spirituality into my life more and more.
Like
web surfing, listening to audio books while on the computer, my friends, my cat, being outside walking, breathing fresh air, remembering to choose a banana vs. a whole coffee cake. Fajita chicken soup mm-mm good. Found out yogurt isn't half bad. This is news to me.
Dislike
allergies, gum that loses its flavor, heck I dunno...flossing, accidentally falling back asleep with wet hair and waking up with a mohawk, my feet falling asleep when I'm online
