My head is reeling!

I have been joining things and researching things, and going to online meetings for 3 or 4 days now.  

I still don't have a good idea of where I am going or what it will be like!

What will abstinence be like for me?  What will be different?  How will I know that I am on the right path?

When will I get a sponsor?  So much to think about!

Holiday weekend, so I will have a lot of time on my hands wondering when my husband will be home.  He is working crazy hours because he is a Field Operations manager for the US Census.  He doesn't have time to look for another job, but this one will just end in September or so.  It is really scary for us.

ps. I can relate to being overwhelmed and my brain going against me a million miles per hour. Today I have some tools to combat my insane brain. And you will too. Just stick around, and you will be fine my dear.

there is a vast differentiation between physical abstinence from alcohol and psychological, emotional and spiritual sobriety.

I understand where you are coming from. I have been going through the same thing for the past 2 days and am currently sitting in front of my laptop with a headache but do not care because I am so excited about what is getting ready to happen for me. There is a lot to think about and do and at times I wonder if I will be able to go through with it. I keep telling myself, "It's gonna be worth it, it's gonna be worth it, it's gonna be worth it all, I believe it."
