The longer we stay clean, the more we experience feelings of gratitude for our recovery. These feelings of gratitude aren’t limited to particular gifts like new friends or the ability to be employed. More frequently, they arise from the overall sense of joy we feel in our new lives. These feelings are enhanced by our certainty of the course our lives would have taken if it weren’t for the miracle we’ve experienced in Narcotics Anonymous. Sometimes we can't speak the words we want to share, so most of the time that's why I need to use my blog postings for sharing. I get stumped & confused in public meetings. The words hardly come out right? But, just as long as I am grateful for where I am in my sober lifestyle is all that matters. If this helps anyone else to decide to get into Recovery & Sobriety, then I did something for another person. JUST as other's before me have done to help me in my time of need. WE all cherish the people who said the right words to make us want to see how our life could change. Then when we have a little time under our belts, it's better than we could have ever imagined. Then we stop and think, WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO GET HERE. But, it just goes to show, when your not ready NOTHING CAN MAKE GET READY BUT YOU! You have to be ready to hear the recovery and share and do what's best for you. That's all that matters.GOD HAS GRACED ME WITH A SOBER & SERENE LIFE NOW, I WON'T MESS THIS UP. I CAN'T REMEMBER MY OLD LIFE. SO THANKS FOR THAT. I CAN ONLY LOOK FORWARD. Don't forget your past, but don't have to feel the Guilt everyday. LEAVE IT IN THE PAST! That's the first thing to do, forgive yourself for your past mistakes and start ANEW!
