cleaning out after new years
Posted On 01/05/2010 08:55:42 by Nia

Just yesterday I came accross another whole box of

journals...I have stored most others in a sideboard

my Mother-in-law gave us.

Someone, in a meditation I was reading- suggested

going through and putting the rest of " Life" in

order...

We do interior inventories- and at least I try and

do 2 semi-annual 'objects & clothes' give aways to

Good-Will.

But what about all the papers and letters!?

My Crafts and paint, paper, canvases and sewing...

those are at least in general area's and shelves-

But what about old paintings, photo's and unfinished

drawings- How do you deal with those things?

How do you decide what to keep and what to let go ?

The creative part of our lives....the part my Father

& Mother told me to not 'judge' in the same manner-

Do I apply the addage of: " If you haven't used it in

in a year" let it go - I have regretted losing parts

and pieces before...I guess more prayer is in order.

I'm like Dennis, I save everything.  To compromise with my wife, and make things easier for the kids when I kick the bucket, I've been disposing of much and if scannable, I've been putting it on a one terrabyte external hard drive that was on sale after Thanksgiving.
