Where is "There?"
Posted On 05/20/2009 10:40:06 by JekyllnHyde54

Today is 11 months. Next month will make 1 year of sobriety. I thought to myself, "I'm almost there." Then realized, "there" keeps moving forward with each passing day. Do we ever get "there" or is it just an endless journey...one step at a time, one day at a time?

I heard a man refer to himself as a "recovered" alcoholic. How nice to be able to say that.

Peace

11 months. Cool. Not to be sneered at. Congrats.

I figure if someone wants to call himself a "recovered" alcoholic, it's his program and his words. This drunk didn't have a drink today - that's good enough for me. Yep, the journey is endless, but that is the fun of it. Like Ken, "there" is her and now for me, no more and no less...

YF,

Dennis
