Resentment Prayers
Posted On 03/04/2009 02:27:46 by flowerchildofjc

I want to know verbatim what you all pray when you pray for someone you have a resentment for. I wanna hear what other's pray and maybe I can pull from those so I can pray one that I feel good about. I've changed how I pray a few times for people I have resentment towards, but they all seem off somehow....please lemme know. Thanks all and love you all dearly:)

God Bless,

Jessie

Ok, ok, I paid alotta money to have an answer 4 u here!!

I'm sposed to pray, "Bless them, Father, and those they love.  Continue to reaveal Yourself to them draw them closer to you..."

But I end up blurtin' out,  "Have mercy on my soul, Lord Jesus!!  Beause You KNOW I want to kill that man and his ho!!  Forgive me, Father God, but can you BELIEVE how WRONG he is?!"

and that's the truth!

Hmm, this is something i'm working on as well. I normally find myself praying for God to keep the negative thoughts out of my head, to give me his love for those around me and the ability to overlook small annoying faults in others.

If it's something big, like when someone has really really hurt you I find that peace comes with forgiveness. Although I know i'm not completely over some of the things that have happened in my life I find peace in that i've forgiven them. I ask God to remind me of this forgiveness and to give me his heart for those who have hurt me. Romans 12:17-21 is a fantastic verse for stuff like that. I have it on my dry erase board this very moment, actually. .<

Hope that this helps a little bit, Doll. Keep your chin up! :)

Jessie -

I can't give it to you verbatim. I specifically pray that they receive all the things that I want in my life. Love, security, peace of mind, etc.. It does seem to work, for after a few weeks I find that I am less inclined to desire choking them.

YF,

Dennis
