I dont think that you people on this site realize how wonderful you all are.
I went to the wedding.
AND DIDNT DRINK.
I am amazed at how far I have come along. I NEVER had to drink to have fun. I had the best time I ever had...SOBER!
Thank you for all of your kind and encouraging words. They all helped me through the wedding and my everyday life. You people are my angels on earth and I cherish each and every one of you for taking the time out of your days to send me words of advice. They mean the world to me.

Well done girl.  Like Angie, I always thought I had to be heavily intoxicated to be 'the life and soul' of the party.  Since working the steps and transforming my life in the process, I am not like that.  I make God the life and soul of MY party and it feels wonderful, I would not go back to how I was for anything. 

Inner peace and happiness in yourself and who you are is critical, especially for alcoholics who so often feel shame and guilt over their drunken antics, you are young enough to learn this incredible lesson and I hope you do, I sure wish I had and saved myself another 15 years of torment.

Be strong and work the steps, you are doing great!
