Bringing it forward- influences early in sobriety-

When I was struggling in rehab, my counsellor introduced me to some wonderful books and suggestions, for daily consideration.

After prayer, meditation and journal in the morning, he suggested I map out a 'plan for my day' ( "plan plans, not results")

Lee loved using 'circles' to illustrate things- so pie charts, clock faces, (how ever you like to think of it-were common...) " plan your day around your meeting/s" . AIM FOR Balance ! reaching out , exercise, work, rest, reflection, play,

prayer-phonecalls-etc.

He loved to use them for relationships too- "This is healthy" he would carefully overlap the 3 circles.

" You can use this diagram for aspects of self, too- physical, spiritual, mental" That I believe was my first map for any sort of inventory; I am very visual so this was great-(lists are one thing images quite another)

He introduced me to lots of things as we went along- keeping Sobriety first , spirituality and Adult children of Alcoholics, right there with it....because he knew how much was at stake- God Bless !
