Medicine Isn't Always Perfect
Posted On 07/24/2008 13:49:58 by Rissy_chan

Apparently, I'd better get to getting with treating myself well. When I went to the doctor's yesterday for some redness (it sweeps across my nose and cheeks), my mom asked if it'd be possible for me to get my meningitis vaccine.

I shouldn't have accepted so easily when I was already feeling a tad worn out. Well, the immediate/expected pain in the area of the shot was there already. Everything was fine...until I woke up at 6 AM feeling clammy. For the next two hours, I was crying hysterically, Mother at her wits ends about what to do. So, when the office opened at 8:30...she called right away, and then went to the driveway to kiss my father goodbye before he went to work. By that time, I had the urge to throw up, and I induced it... I felt better, but the soreness of my stomach became unsettling. So, I slept, and when I woke up from my nap felt almost completely better. We still saw the doctor, and he said these symptoms will continue for the next two days.

For now, I've kept my appetite up. Mother made me pastina (it's little star-shaped pasta), and we went to a food market, where I took some of that vitamin water, and two poptarts (1 pkg). So, I'm alright for now.

Today, as my mom says, it's a 'Self Day'...so I'll just watch one of my favorite movies and take a little nap before dinner time. I hope all is well with everyone, and that the coming week leaves you serene and content.

Blessings,
+R
