My first appt

Tonight is my first appointment with my therapist !! YEAH>>I really need a push and also some guidance to look deeper into myself. I am looking forward to unloading some issues off of my back.. and start feeling good.. Not so down and depressed and negative.. It's always easier to deal with Negative than Positive.. I can't seem to get my mind focused again.. and really be Positive..

Speaking to a stranger about your issues is so uplifting(strangely enough) maybe because they dont judge you,its a high all by itself and after a good session its really amazing how light headed you can feel just from off-loading.I hope it works well for you.Keep us updated.

I know for me I have been holding onto the painful negative feelings inside me for over 20 yrs..it feels like that is who I am. I am trying to let go of it a little at a time..good luck!

Due to my life circumstance caused by both myself and others i been in and out of counseling for a long time since iw as 5 actually.... when i got older is relized that everytime you go for your first apoinment you have to fill out paperwork for the whole apointment. they ask a ton of questions and the next you make a plan. it is not until the 3rd that you get to start workign on your plan . (in my case anyways) I didnt get to really talk about anythign like i had hoped and was disapointed. if this happens stick with it. One of the biggest helps to  me was a stress managment class I took.  It had a concept alot like aa where you inventory yourself  then you  make a plan based on what you find. things you feel you need to change and things like that. everyday life coping skills...   once your past those first inital visits it is worth it. i am not in counseliing right now but wht i have learned about myself and diffrent stress relief techniques has been a real help for me through this right now. I continue to use it in my life daily.
