Yesterday at church I stopped to chat with one of the regulars. When he gave me a quick hug, I thanked him and told him that I needed it. He responded saying that with my smile I didn’t look like I needed it and that my ‘Irish eyes’ were showing.
I don’t always think about the importance of a smile or how it affects me and others around me. I do try to smile especially when I’m out and about. It makes me feel good and many times, the smile is returned. If moods are contagious, I’d rather spread smiles than frowns.
