Tired Eyes
Posted On 08/28/2008 22:06:31 by Rissy_chan
As many of you have seen, I've been weening myself off of this site, gradually but surely. I think as I'm coming to the end of my recovery, I'm feeling more like I can handle myself, and less that I have to vent about or do. Sure, I'm available to help others...but I feel sure of myself and know that I can get to the places where I need to be. I have a pretty clear path, and I'm anxious for it.Went job-hunting and picked up applications for four places. Already settled out for college...rather,... Read More

Faith overcomes fear

Hello family,
I am an addict named Ollie and I've been clean since Oct 15, 1982. I'm going to be home for 4-5 weeks following my recieving a new kidney (8/20/08) from a friend from the rooms with 23 yrs of his own recovery. No blog tomorrow! Daily I sit down and do a journal, well almost daily. It is something that I have done since I rehabbed nearly 14 years ago, and something I do... Read More

feeling much better

Well I have to admit that today I am feeling much better. I actually have a plan now, so that is a first step.  I was reminded today watching Josh Grobans video "Don't Give Up, You Are Loved." That yes I am loved, and that whatever reason God has for giving me this burden, only He truly knows. It is not my job to question Him, only to trust in Him, have faith.

So my current situation lies in God's hands and I am free to leave and go camping tomorrow with the assurance that God will g... Read More

Help
Posted On 08/28/2008 12:11:33 by Cara
There is a school of thought that says you should only share positive messages with other addicts in order to share hope and recovery, they probably have enough misery and failure all by themselves without someone who is supposed to be experienced dragging them down.
I'm sorry but I think I got expelled from that particular school.
And I am going to wallow.  Well here I am in a fellowship of MEN, and guess what I have discovered?  I will tell you, I am addicted a lot around men,... Read More
