Doing it right

I need a sponsor. Badly. My isolation keeps telling me that I don't really need to confide in anyone, that sponsors are too this and too that. But at the end of the day, right now my addict is ruling me and I need somoene to help me see past it.

I just needed to write that down so I could see it.

I need a sponsor too. My isolation isn't always helpful either... However, I am thankful for the support of other addicts in recovery for help! :D

No argument from this corner. I took a long time to get a sponsor. Eventually I found out that I was looking for someone just like me (how's that for smart). Now I have a sponsor that I have nothing in common with other than he is an alcoholic - like me. Desperation provides incentive when a decision has to be made. Find someone to be your "temporary" sponsor and go from there. Remember progress - not perfection.
