It's been two years since I lost my Great-Grandma Arlee, and it hurts just as much as it did two years ago. I was her first great-grandchild and her living namesake (Caitlin Arlee). For some reason, I've been thinking a lot about my ex-fiancee. We met in a psych hospital, but that relationship was doomed from the start. I was an emotional wreck and he had come into recovery for an addiction to alcohol and crack cocaine. Passed away- I just got news today... He has been ill a long time- but my guilt stems from not having made the effort to go see him.... I find myself lately slipping back in to my old way of thinking and feeling.I usually read my morning meditation when I get to work and that seems to start my day. Lately though I just seem to dwell on the past, the sadness and hurt and try to figure out things like the choices I made in my life.For example my son's dad is still active using.
