RIP Great Grandma Churchill (4/27/1921 ~ 9/25/2006)
Posted On 09/24/2008 23:59:34 by MissyChevious
It's been two years since I lost my Great-Grandma Arlee, and it hurts just as much as it did two years ago. I was her first great-grandchild and her living namesake (Caitlin Arlee). I was special because of that.

A lot of people never had a great-grandparent, but I did, and she meant so much to me. She helped raise me, and she was always an active part of my life. She was the most generous, giving, caring person that I knew. I looked up to her, I wanted (and still do) to have the wonderfu... Read More

A lot of pondering...recovery style.

For some reason, I've been thinking a lot about my ex-fiancee.

We met in a psych hospital, but that relationship was doomed from the start. I was an emotional wreck and he had come into recovery for an addiction to alcohol and crack cocaine.

Warning: This is a REALLY long blog. You don't have to read it unless you're: A.) really bored or B.) you love to listen to me BI**H =]

It's just that I can't keep putting up with all the sh*t that he's put me through and the way he keeps acting. Just because he gets drunk doesn't mean that I: A.) Want to talk to him at all and B.) want to talk to him at 3:30am.

So here'... Read More

Passed away- I just got news today... He has been ill a long time- but my guilt stems from not having made the effort to go see him.... I used to visit them every year-   They were significant in raising me- always took me in when my parents went off on their jaunts... never bad mouthed my parents, that I heard.made me feel a part of the clan, discipline included-
taught me a lot about honesty and integrity, responsibility and what it meant to be a part of a family...... Read More

Old Way of Thinking
Posted On 04/28/2008 14:08:15 by flachic75
I find myself lately slipping back in to my old way of thinking and feeling.I usually read my morning meditation when I get to work and that seems to start my day. Lately though I just seem to dwell on the past, the sadness and hurt and try to figure out things like the choices I made in my life. For example  my son's dad is still active using.  Hasn't telephoned in a year and as I watch him growing up in front of my eyes I feel that the choices I made in life are hurting...
