I have seven months clean time and I got to go to my first NA convention in Jacksonville, Fl. It was amazing. I really didn't meet alot of addicts but there were alot of them there at least 1500 of them and I'm proud to say at least 30 of them where from the big bend area where I'm from. Yay! Apparently i enjoy playing "sabotage" because when things seem to be going good I [unintentionally] screw it up so my life is back full of drama and chaos. I'm comfortable there, this smooth ride is outside my box and scary. I don't understand my reasoning. But I do know that in order to get my life back I'm gonna have to get uncomfortable for a while. Where am I today. A Pastor, but not Pastoring a church. Got another job in sales that started with a boom, but now I'm so concerned with my children, wife and others, my mind is in turmoil. I know I should be involved in a church, in a big way, but I have been hurt by the last three so bad, it makes me very leary about opening my heart to get hurt again.
