Today, I will have nine months sober. I though that I would never get to this point in my life. Last year I was drowning in my disease and was pathway for death. We try and alternate holidays with our families- and so this time it was our turn to go visit my family on Cape Cod....I always go with as much hope and light heartedness as possibly can be summoned- I pray and pray for 'connectedness' and belonging- Iam repeatedly shown forgiveness and acceptance... It is only my Brother and I remaining with 'close' blood ties... and there is so much I dream of for him- he is a good deal older, and a world away in lifestyle- He took up the reins... Read More
I was pleasantly surprised how smoothly this community managed voting... Not that we are large or urban!
I wonder about apathy- although there seemed to be little, yesterday,
comparatively speaking. ( 80% turn out in a lot of places-)
