Reflection

Monday November 1st I was five years sober. The past few weeks have been a time for reflection and remembering when.

My last run my good friend/ex-roomate Tom drove for over an hour at 1 in the morning to get me out of yet another jam. As we where driving to his house he said: "This is it, you can stay tonight but I want you gone tomorrow morning." It was right then I knew I was completly alone. Starting Over

This has been a busy week for me besides working I signed up for my classes.  I am so excieted at 54 I never thought I could start a new career. Friends,family and my great co-workers have encouraged me and supported my goals. I will Be spending lots of free time studying. Nine Months Sober

Today, I will have nine months sober.  I though that I would never get to this point in my life.  Last year I was drowning in my disease and was pathway for death.  Eventually, the alcohol would consume me to death.
