Metal mostly. My favorite bands are Seether, Metalica, Godsmack, Linkin Park...many more. I can handle "Dude it's the 80's" on KISW. I am also learning to live with the hip hop...my teenage daughters are wearing me down.

Goodfellas, Casino, Pulp Fiction, In the Pursuit of Happiness...lots. I am a big movie buff. The funny thing is I usually can't remember them after I watched them once sooo, I have a huge DVD collection. I can see them over and over without remembering the ending !! This could be a residual effect of the drug use lol !!

Anything true crime. Ann Rule is my favorite author. Nikki Sixx "Heroin Diary" was entertaining. The only difference between Nikki and myself was the huge endless supply of cash he had to keep his high going. Besids that, we were in the same misery and self loathing. I just finished "The Parable of the Sower" by Octavia Butler. Awesome book, I reccomend it. I also like psychology books, diagnosing my friends and family as I read along. ~Crazy~ but I love them !!

With 5 kids and full time school who has time for hobbies ??

I am a recovering addict with over 5 years clean. I have 2 wonderful children and 3 great step kids. I am in a loving healthy relationship with another recovering addict (Phil I love you)! The program not only helps me to stay clean, I also learn how to have healthy and supportive relationships. I am a full time college student almost done with my AA. I plan on going to WWU to earn a BA in social services. Someday I might be your parole officer...so be nice !!

I like my life today. Phil and I have all 5 kids full time and we are a great team. I enjoy reading true crime books. I love to lay in the sun and float on the lake....I also enjoy family time with the kids, camping, day trips, wild waves etc. I have a great support group, wonderful friends and the best home group ever. Life is good today, I have learned to have fun and deal with life issues without dope !!

Chronic relaps...I get extremly frustrated with people that come to meetings, whine about their life and do nothing to change it. Recovery cannot be obtained by osmosis. We must do ALL of the program ie. meetings, sponsor, step work, service if we want to change. That is my secret to success. do the work, and reap the rewards !! Simple really.
