I love all movies. From big sweeping epics to the smallest of indie fare- the more eclectic the better. I'm a big fan of Baz Luhrmann, Ridley Scott, Wes Anderson, Kevin Smith... too many to list.

Mostly cookbooks right now... I'm still breaking in a new grill.

Wow! 40+ days down... a lifetime to go. But a life I am very much looking forward to!

I'll probably change this 100 times... seeing as every day seems to be a new beginning, and holds new growth, and new hope.

I first started the program back in January... but have had a few hiccups along the way (no pun intended). But I am back now... resigned to the fact that this is where I belong, and struggling with the realities of how to make this my life.

Phrases like "Let go, let God." are still tough for a guy like me. I am an Aries... and also an alcoholic. One or the other can probably be taken with a grain of salt. But to be BOTH is just sometimes a bit much for most (and understandably so)- just ask my ex.

Even though my drinking was largely self-destructive... I have caused more pain to those I love than I can sometimes bring myself to admit. That's been the hardest thing for me to live with.

Anyway... I'm just a work in progress. Looking forward to meeting more great people here... so far everyone has been extremely nice and welcoming. I can only hope to be that for others one day.
