Hi Victorious,

If you want to make a share that everyone can see and respond too, hit the "blog" button, and then the "write new blog" button, and have at it =) Don't worry, you'll find yourself feeling at home at one or more of those meetings when you keep attending them:)

Let's see.....the chat room on this site, I wouldn't really reccommend, because there is usually no one in it, but if you want to give it a shot, go to the "home" page, and then hit "text chat", and it will take you to where you can chat if there is actually another person in the virtual room.

Blogs are usually the best way to reach out and connect with people, especially when you are new to the site. Also, going to people's profile pages, and introducing yourself if they look like someone you may be interested in knowing, is a good way too.

I have indeed found stuff that makes me happy, enjoyable sober activities and such, since being sober. I have traveled more in the last year than I have in a loooooooooong time.

But, I have been suffering with severe, chronic pain, that no doctor or prescription or anything is helping in the past year. It is wearing me thin. I can hardly function on a day to day basis. But yes, before the horrific pain started, I was a happy camper indeed :) God willing I will be one again someday, and no matter what, I am not going to quit before the miracle happens:)

Wishing a peaceful evening,
Jessie

Hi Jesse,

Thanks for the encouragement. I am attending Al Anon mtgs, 3 so far and trying to learn how to "work the steps" I am visiting a different group each time to feel them out and hopefully find the one that feels like "home'. It looks like you know how to enjoy life by the great photos you have, the lake pics are beautiful. Is there any information on how to use this website where I can learn how to post things, upload, or chat etc? Thanks again for your suggestions on the groups.

Hi Victorious,

Glad you liked it:) It is a bit chilly here, in the teens, but I am a Michigan native so I am pretty used to it. My dog is a sled type dog, so he doesn't mind it either. Have a good evening

Hi FlowerChild,

Thanks for the cute kitty greeting and welcome. Must be very cold in Michigan this time of year?
