A Program Of Recovery, Emotions Anonymous, Overspenders, Bipolar addicts, Serenity Seekers

I am 52 years old. I was diagnosed with a lot of emotional and physical challenges, especially Bipolar. Last year I was approved on Social Security Disability. I am active on Sparkpeople.com and know that I need more support, too. I am so happy that there are a lot of online resources for recovery now. I am doing pretty good on exercise and healthy food, I just need to overeat to calm my emotions. I am sure that I am on the path to resolve the emotional connection with food and behavior this time! Losing weight will help me to be healthier in so many ways.

Our Surrender

There came that silly duplicity
And that funny divided spirit
That we had to drink
And that we had to quit.
And we surrendered
.

The light of HP surrounds us.
The love of HP enfolds us.
The power of HP protects us.
The Presence of HP watches over us.
Wherever we are, our HP is and all is well.

It's always with excitement that I wake up in the morning
wondering what my intuition will toss up to me
like gifts from the sea. I work with it
and rely upon it. It's my partner.

Resentment is the mortar that holds

the bricks together in a wall of
alienation and despair.

When someone asks me to sponsor them,
it is an honor and a privilege.
Little do they know, that they are sponsoring me.
This is about the therapeutic value
of one person helping another.
Sponsorship is a two way street.
Having a relationship with your sponsor
is the only way to learn to live your life,
that you know nothing about.
A sponsor is only as good as your ability to use him/her.
If you don't call your sponsor, you don't have a sponsor.

Dear Friends in Recovery, I am so glad to be back on our site. I have
been with my dear sister who passed away on June 16th. She had a long
struggle with cancer. But thanks to a wonderful program I was able to
be with her the whole way. Thank God for A.A. and our new mind.
Terry
