Dancing, dancing, dancing. Middle eastern and tribal fusion, hula and tahitian, and salsa dancing! Writing, writing, writing and reading and writing! Hunting for goodies at thrift stores, consignment boutiques, and run-down old antique shops. Hiking and talking.

I have had my eating disorder for 18 years and thoroughly see it as a cunning, baffling, progressive, and fatal disease. There were the early romantic years in which I thought I had control, despite many hospitalizations and therapy that should have convinced me otherwise. I entered a 12 step fellowship nearly 10 years ago and knew, but I did not realize what an addict I was until a few years later. The disease grew so large, it shut out everything else. Where once I was energetic and friendly, I became withdrawn and sullen. Where once I had dreams and passions for social and economic justice, I became miserably self-centered and lonely. Recovery is always first, but I usually always forget the first thing on my master to-do list.
